Licensing with Music Sculptor provides 100% legal certainty.
Music Sculptor's repertoire can easily be used for linear broadcasts on all stations (public and commercial) and does not cause any license costs, as the broadcasters' framework agreements with GEMA and GVL already cover everything. For public broadcasters and RTL Group stations, automatic music recognition technology is applied, so there is no need for manual music reporting. However, please note the specific requirements of the broadcasters.
Since mid-2023, music used in online-only productions by ARD and ZDF no longer results in license costs, as the framework agreements now cover everything here as well. The music tracks used are to be reported to the royalties and licensing departments for documentation purposes only. This step should also be eliminated soon if automatic recognition takes effect here too.
When music is used in online-only productions of all other broadcasters, the respective specifications made by the broadcasters must be observed. Please contact us and we will be happy to help.
